Rosie Wild.
Well the months slip by and it seems hard to believe that my little girls are now two and a half and no longer so little. It seems like I have been a mother forever and yet at the same time the weeks fly by. It is eleven am and the girls are playing in our small garden...they have their dolls and are taking them for walks in their pushchairs. I am here trying to grab a coffee and a moment to reflect. Tess wanders in with half the garden in her hand and I try to encourage her to take it back outside.. "No!" comes the answer confident and bold. Star comes in and says shes hungry. The requests keep coming day and night and sometimes there seems no reasoning.
Tess, Jade and Star are talking alot now and their conversation is really flowing. The other day Tess said "Daddy is a man and Mummy is a woman." When asked what Kay was "Auntie" came the answer. Another amusing moment was over easter our friend Umilla came over. She told them to close their eyes and open their hands as she had easter eggs for them. When they had finished Tess walked up to Umilla with her eyes closed and hands out obviously expecting the flow of chocolate to be never ending. They are continually suprising us with their language and their humour and they are very determined girls to say the least.
In November we moved house. Our new home needs quite a bit of work and there seems to be no time to do it. Nevertheless, I have begun to make their bedroom a creative haven and have had a lot of fun painting a fairy, mermaid and a princess on the wall and covering the other one in black board paint for them to chalk.
Life with three toddlers is still relentless for us but the joy of it is also non stopping. We still have our moments when they all start crying together or all start playing up in their buggy when as a parent you want to somehow escape the mayhem but over all it has got easier to manage three toddlers as they learn more and more. They seemed to have moved past the aggressive stage where they attacked other kids which is a relief for us all. They still fight amoung themselves but mostly for a reason not unprovoked.
Most days we go out to various parks or playgroups and once a week Andy takes them to the farm which they adore. They love the animals and bring us fresh eggs home for our lunch.
Andy is studying website development at College at the moment which he seems to be enjoying aswell as finding challenging at times. It is hard to come back after a day at college to the demands of our family and a Rosie who is tired and bedraggled and bogged down by housework. Nevertheless after two years of being a fulltime Dad it has been great for Andy to do something different.
I have been offered a place at North London University doing a one year Teacher Training course which I am looking forward to. The girls will hopefully go to nursery in September when I start this course. So that's an update on the Wild Lynden-Bell household. I hope you like the new photos as I think they are particularly fantastic but then again I am a little biased.
